The Options
The Chevrolet Traverse is available in four trims: the LT, the Z71, the High Country, and the RS. The LT is the base model with a 2.5L turbo engine and an eight-speed transmission. It seats seven to eight passengers, depending on the seating configuration. Its auto liftgate and smart slide seats allow for easy cargo access. The Z71 has an off-road suspension, a skid plate, an advanced twin-clutch AWD system, terrain mode, hill descent control, and 18-inch all-terrain tires.
The High Country is a premium trim with all the features of the LT in addition to leather-appointed seats, one-touch fold second-row seats, power-folding second- and third-row seats, 22-inch high gloss aluminum wheels, and specialty exterior decor and badging. The RS is the highest trim with a sporty style. It has a flat-bottom steering wheel, luxurious leather-appointed seats, a distinctive black front grille, striking black roof rails, and 22-inch black-painted wheels.
The Interior Space and Amenities
The new Chevy Traverse has been rated best-in-class for its total cargo volume. Behind the first row, there’s a total of 98 ft.³ of cargo space. The spacious interior has comfortable seating for up to eight passengers, depending on the seating configuration.
Drivers will have the option of a bench seat or captain’s chairs in the second row. There’s also an AutoSense power liftgate that makes accessing that extra cargo space easier than ever. The 60/40 split bench in the third row allows for adjustable cargo configuration and easy access when needed.
The Technology
